Adorozatorumary (アドローザトルマリィ) is a Sanrio character created in collaboration with the popular Japanese singer Ado. She has navy blue fur, light blue eyes, a singular fang, and a black ribbon with a light blue rose around the white fur on her neck.
Origin[]
Adoroza was born in SANRIOLABO, or Sanrio Research Institute, a lab that creates new Sanrio characters and is run by lab director Researcher D and their partner, Assistant O. On February 11, at 6:00 p.m. JST, the scientists reported that there was an egg that mysteriously fell from the assistant's desk and that the egg was warm to the touch, exactly 32.6°C. Researcher D named the egg "Egg No. 2 ( 卵体№02 )" and decided to observe it. In the days that followed, the egg began to shine brighter, until it eventually hatched on March 8, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. JST. When it came time to name her, Assistant O thought of "Adoroza," while Researcher D came up with "Torumary," so they combined the two names to create Adorozatorumary, keeping Adoroza as a nickname.
The researchers are unsure of her exact species, as she looks like a cat but cannot walk on all fours. She is instead called an "experimental bipedal creative eigenmode."
Favorite things to do[]
Since hatching, Adoroza has enjoyed eating anything in her path, including inedible items like paper, flowers, and even metal. She's also known to like smartphones and computer screens and has practiced taking selfies on them. On day 8 of the researcher's observation, they noticed that Adoroza's egg would only react to a certain person's music, and researchers named the artist "Collaborator A." The artist in question is presumably Ado, as every time she hears Ado's music, she excitedly dances and sings along. She treasures the ribbon around her neck that Ado herself gave her.
On May 17, 2022, Adoroza was let out into the world, leaving the researchers behind. She is now being watched by Observer C, who secretly keeps watch over her and posts their findings on the SANRIOLABO Twitter page. She loves to sing and is always full of curiosity. She's enjoyed exploring popular sites, eating out, interacting with locals, and even attending Ado concerts.
