Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a simulation game for the Nintendo Switch released on March 20, 2020. It is the fifth main installment in the Animal Crossing series outside of Japan.
In an update of the game released on March 18, 2021, the Cinnamoroll poster, My Melody poster, Kiki & Lala poster, Pompompurin poster, Kerokerokeroppi poster, and Hello Kitty poster can be obtained from Nook Shopping after Chai, Chelsea, Étoile, Marty, Toby, and Rilla's amiibo cards, respectively, are scanned in Photopia. While initially absent from the game, the Sanrio villagers and items returned in the 1.9.0 Free Update. The items can be unlocked for purchase and the villagers can move to the player's island if their amiibo cards are scanned.
