Catula is an episode of the television series Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater that is based on the story of Dracula.
Story[]
Catnip has gone completely batty! She's flying all over Catsylvania sipping everyone's favorite frosty-cold drink. Thank goodness Hello Kitty has a secret plan and a few extra gallons of milk!
Plot[]
Before the play, My Melody was carrying a bottle of milk until a mishandling accident sees the little rabbit trip and drop the bottle causing all of the milk to spill on the backstage floor. Poor Melody begins to cry over spilled milk because she had ruined the show as she cleans it up. Catnip appears, telling her that there's no use of crying over it, but Melody knows there's not enough time to get more. Catnip recites her motto, "Always be prepared for anything.", as she pulls out and hands over a carton of milk to assess the dilemma before she goes to drink up the spilt milk anyway. Melody thanks her for being nice to help out, as Catnip tells her not to tell anyone about it as to keep her reputation in tact, before Hello Kitty calls out for everyone to get into their places for its curtain time.
Once upon a meow, in the small village of Catsylvania, there was a terrifying vampire cat who was drinking up all of the town's milk. Grandma Kitty has had enough of this, as she goes to write a letter to her granddaughter back home in London.
- Dear Hello Kitty,
A milk slurping vampire is loose in our village! There isn't a drop of milk left anywhere! Come and help! Bring lots of milk!
Love,
-Granny.
After reading the letter, Hello Kitty tells her friends, My Melody, Tuxedo Sam and Chip to back up their bags for they're going to Catsylvania.
They arrive at a moonlit, eerie Catsylvania by airplane as Kitty begins to take photos with her friends. Chip whistles for a ride so they could arrive at the village easier. Arriving outside the baron airfield is a four-horse carriage where the horseman asks them if they're Hello Kitty and Friends. Chip nervously thinks it's better to walk instead. Kitty confirms his question, as Melody wonders how he knows they were coming. The horseman, Grinder, tells them that Kitty's grandmother sent him. Kitty now understands how he knows who they are as she takes a photo of him and introduces her friends to him. They board the carriage as he loads their luggage onboard and sets off into the stormy roads of Catsylvania. On the way, Kitty sees that the road to the village is closed and that the carriage is heading to a place called "Catula's Castle." Sam wonders who this "Catula" is, as his question will soon be answered as they approach said castle.
As the carriage arrives at the castle, Kitty and her friends disembark. She asks Grinder if there is another way to the village, but he declines as the only way there has been "washed out," thus they will have to stay here tonight. As scary as the castle may look, they go inside anyway as to stay out of the storm.
Inside, the children find it a lot more creepier compared to the outside. Grinder informs them that their hostess will be right with them, who turns out to be none other than Countess Catula of Catsylvania herself. The countess welcomes them to her castle, explaining how she can't offer them any milk as there's none of it to be found here. Sam understands her issue, but they came prepared anyway with their own, which attracts the countess. Before she could leave for her beauty sleep, Kitty takes a photo of her which causes the countess to immediately react to the camera flashing her in the eye. Kitty apologizes for possibly startling her, as the countess apologizes too because she's camera shy. She heads off again telling them to have a good night, as she secretly tells Grinder to get that camera away from Kitty and to leave the guest room windows unlocked so she can drink their milk. Kitty notices that the countess isn't in the picture, even though she was next to Grinder, but Melody knows that vampires can't be photographed.
In their room, Kitty asks her friends if they think Catula really is a vampire, since her grandma did say that there is one terrorizing her village. Before she could grab her camera to double check, a portrait of Catula opens up where Grinder seizes her camera from the top of the dresser before she could grab it. Kitty sees that her camera is gone, as Chip wonders who took it. Knowing it was the vampire, a panicked Melody begins to run away with an also panicked Chip. Kitty stops them, knowing that the only way to find out is by talking to the countess.
As the children arrive at the bedroom of the sleeping countess, Kitty brings a case of makeup powder and faces the tiny mirror in front of who is actually confirmed a vampire! Catula wakes up to that answer, as Melody, Sam and Chip try to run out the narrow doorway at once. Kitty attempts to slow her down by dropping a bed curtain on her and pushes her frightened friends as they run across different rooms. Catula blocks Chip and Melody's path as they run to their room. They block the door thinking that she can't come in through there, only to realize she used a window to her advantage. Catula hypnotizes Melody and Chip, who points to her their milk under her control. As she begins to drink up their milk and toss an empty carton at them which snaps them out of her hypnosis, they attempt to run for it. Before they could whilst defending themselves from her hypnosis by closing their eyes, Catula sends in Grinder to pulverize them. They run backwards directly into a hidden pathway where they reunite with Kitty and Sam in another room. Before Grinder could get a hold of them, he runs into a door from another hidden room that sends him spinning that causes Catula to get caught up in it. Inside the room, Kitty reacquires her camera and the children begin to bail.
They make it outside through another hidden door as Sam commandeers the carriage and they make their way to Catsylvania. Sam sees Catsylvania in the distance down the road that is perfectly clear since the washout was a trick. However, they're being tailed by Catula in bat form as she attempts to force the carriage to a stop. Kitty stalls her by throwing a milk carton at her as they make their way into the village.
They arrive just outside of Grandma Kitty's house where Kitty meets her grandmother once more. Sam warns her about Catula, however Grandma already came prepared with a "secret weapon" at her disposal; garlic necklaces. Despite the smell, Grandma knows that it helps to keep the vampire away from the village. This was proved to be inefficient as Catula came prepared with a clothespin on her nose. Before the milk supply was doomed of being stolen by Catula, Kitty had prepared herself with a trick of her own sleeve; her camera flashing directly at the vampire's eyes. Grandma calls all of the villagers with their cameras, who flash at Catula until she was completely disintegrated. Grandma Kitty praises Kitty and her friends for their heroism of helping get rid of Catula, with the with the worry-free village celebrating. Appreciated by their appraisal, Kitty announces a surprise to the village.
At the fountain, Kitty pulls out the surprise; powdered milk. She pours the powder on the fountain water, with the fountain now having an endless flow of milk. The whole village cheers as the story ends with Hello Kitty, My Melody, Tuxedo Sam, Chip, Catnip and Grinder taking their bow.
