City Catz is a 5-unit group comprised of anthropomorphic cats. They made their first and only known appearance in 1985.

"We were just a bunch of would-be musicians down at our favorite burger joint hang-out. Bein' as we all got along so well, we figured the five of us might just as well get together and be a rock band. Now we aim to be professional musicians and we spend our nights down at The Cat's Meow Night Club at the end of 9 Lives Street practisin' our tunes. So, let us introduce ourselves, 'cuz we think all of us are gonna be real good friends here pretty soon! And, if you ever find yourself in New York, just bring yourself over to the night club and come listen to us do our thing!"

Sax: Born right here in good ol' New York, New York. He plays the sax, in fact, he eats with his sax, he takes his bath with his sax, why, that cat even sleeps with his sax! They say the only thing he likes better than his sax is his girlfriend, Kinky! Sax is the group's leader, and he's mad about rock and jazz.
Kinky: Born in Boston, she's a fashion expert. Whenever she comes by a little bread, she runs right out and buys herself some new threads. But she's not just a slave to any new fashion, she's got her own style-like her 30 pairs of tight, tight blue jeans. She's also a budding singing genius and she's got a flair for dance, too! She and|Sax are like her jeans, real TIGHT!
Spaz: Spaz is all hung-up on music, any kind of music! He likes to dance too but he's really awful (thus his name!). His favorite instrument is the guitar and he always walks around pre-tending to strum his "air guitar". Some day he'd like to buy himself a real guitar and he's doing his best to save up the dough. Unfortunately, all he has so far is $3.67. He's a California boy from Anaheim.
Rim Shot: He's into basketball and breakdancing; an easy-going, fun-loving type of guy. He hasn't missed a basketball game since he left his hometown of Gary, Indiana.
Mouzer: A country boy from Tulsa, Oklahoma. His hobby is writing really hokey songs and playing the drums. He's the type of guy that adds real strength and flavor to a little band like ours. Mouzer has himself a crew cut and he's real proud of it 'cuz he figures this style's sure to be back in fashion any day now: he's just way ahead of his time!
