Story[]
G'day, boys and girls! Hello Kitty's newest pal is Crocodile Penguin, wrestling champ of Australia. And with a little unintended help from Catnip and Fangora, he'll soon be champion of the world!
Plot[]
Once upon a meow, in the faraway city of Sydney, Australia, there was a mighty wrestler named Crocodile Penguin. He was competing for the Australian Championship against a formidable crocodile. Croc, with a clever sidestep, tricked the reptile, grabbed him by the tail, and hurled him into the air. The crocodile soared from the Opera House all the way to a flagpole on the Harbour Bridge! The crowd roared, cheering Crocodile Penguin's triumph as he and his supervisor, Chip, posed for a picture.
The photo appeared in the Bush Telegraph and quickly made its way to the Kitty Times Office in New York City. The publisher immediately recognized Crocodile Penguin's star potential. She dispatched two of her top staff, writer Hello Kitty and photographer My Melody, on a flight to Australia to interview him. She warned them that he was rumored to be difficult, but Kitty was determined to get him to open up.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in New York, Fangora saw the article about Crocodile Penguin and showed it to Catnip. They both agreed he was worthy enough to challenge Hulk Alligator for a World Championship. Catnip then showed Hulk the article, who was completely bewildered, having no idea what or where Australia was. He didn't care about the location, though, simply declaring he'd "pulverize Crocodile Penguin." Fangora reminded him that everyone was scared to wrestle him, but Crocodile Penguin might be foolish enough to try. They quickly devised a strategy: lure Crocodile Penguin to New York. Catnip envisioned the perfect outcome: a World Wrestling Championship match at Madison Square Garden—Hulk Alligator vs. Crocodile Penguin.
Hello Kitty and My Melody board a plane from JFK Airport to Sydney Airport. After arriving, they drive to a milk bar, where Chip greets them as Melody starts taking photos. As they enter the bar, Catnip rolls in and follows them inside. Suddenly, Crocodile Penguin rolls in, tackling an inflatable crocodile. Kitty is worried and thinks he needs help, until he removes the inflatable's cap, causing it to fly away. Crocodile Penguin introduces himself, but Kitty and Melody are unimpressed by the spectacle. He asks if they're the reporters from the U.S. Kitty confirms, and Crocodile Penguin kisses her paw. He asks what they want to know, and she replies, "Everything," especially how he started wrestling. He offers to take them to the Outback to explain, which excites Kitty and Melody. As they leave, Chip is knocked over by the swinging door and caught by Catnip. She asks if he's the manager, and he confirms. Catnip then offers him "a deal he can't refuse."
In the Outback, Croc, Kitty, and Melody are riding a boat down the river. Kitty comments on how peaceful it is, having expected crocodiles at every turn. She then jinxes herself, as a crocodile emerges from the river and tries to snatch Kitty's purse. Croc intervenes, trying to make the crocodile release the purse, arguing that it's not his. He then wedges a paddle in the crocodile's mouth and retrieves the purse, calling the crocodile "bad." The crocodile begins to cry as it retreats into the river, and Croc tells it to stop its "crocodile tears." Kitty thanks him, saying he was great. Croc is flattered, replying that it was "all in a day's work." He suggests they stop for lunch, and the others agree.
Just behind them, Catnip and Chip come to a fork in the river. Chip says that Croc always goes to the right. Suddenly, the crocodile from earlier rips the motor off their boat and swallows it, causing him to drive erratically. Chip asks for the paddles, but Catnip admits she threw them away because they were "in the way." The crocodile returns and rams their boat, sending it spinning uncontrollably down the river and forcing them to take the left fork, which Chip realizes is a shortcut.
Near a waterfall, Crocodile Penguin is explaining his life and career to Kitty and Melody. Kitty diligently takes notes as she and Melody struggle to stay awake during his long-winded autobiography, eventually falling asleep. Just then, Catnip and Chip's boat flies over the waterfall and crashes nearby, startling Kitty and Melody awake. Before Croc can speak, Chip interrupts, announcing that Croc is scheduled to fight Hulk Alligator in New York City next week for the World Championship. Kitty is horrified that Croc has to fight such a known cheater, but Chip explains that the contract is already signed. Kitty warns Croc about Hulk, but Croc replies, "All the more reason I should take him on!" So, everyone heads to NYC.
A huge welcoming crowd greets Crocodile Penguin from JFK Airport, to Times Square, and to the hotel, with press cameramen taking photos. At his hotel room, Croc decides to take a "scrub in the tub." He sees a bottle of bubble bath, much to his confusion of what it is, but decides to give it a go anyway. Kitty was about to check up on Croc to take him sightseeing around NYC, until she hears him call for help and saw the bathroom overflowing with bubbles. She opens the door and the hotel room is soon covered in pink, wet bubbles, as Melody takes a picture.
At the day of the event at Catison Square Garden, Crocodile Penguin and Hulk Alligator are about to come face to face at the ring as the fight begins! Croc manages to outmaneuver Hulk twice, until he grabs the penguin and stacks up on him. Before Croc would end up losing to Hulk, Chip acts quick and pumps air onto Croc and balloons off him. Croc begins to tease Hulk like a bull and causes him to bounce from rope to rope, leaving him dizzy. Hulk attempts to retaliate Croc after calling him "sewer breath" with his tail, but ends up wrapping himself with it, until Croc grabs Hulk by the tail and sends him flying from the stadium and onto the Statue of Liberty's torch. Crocodile Penguin is hailed as the new Wrestling Champion of the World as everyone cheers for him, much to Catnip's disappointment. Kitty is happy about Croc's victory and tells him what's next, which his reply is "home to the Outback." She says it's dangerous, but he doesn't find it as dangerous as city life for him. She tells him that they will miss him, but he tells her that they can drop in sometime to toss some more shrimp, as Crocodile Penguin, Chip and Hello Kitty pose for the picture as My Melody takes it. The story ends.
