Diana (ダイアナ, Daiana) is a female munchkin cat character from the Japanese company Sanrio, part of the Jewelpet franchise. She is the Jewelpet representing Charisma and is from the Magical Black Class.
She is a primary antagonist of the first season of Jewelpet, and the younger sister of Dian. She's also the boss of the Phantom Herb Thieves.
Appearance[]
Diana is a mostly black munchkin cat with white fur on her front and hind paws and a white tuft of fur on her head. She has silver jewel eyes made of diamonds. Her attire consists of a pink bow over her head, a pink shawl with a white color lace trim around her neck as well as a necklace made of white pearls with a silver heart-shaped diamond jewel.
History[]
Jewelpet[]
Prior to the events of Jewelpet, Diana was destructive and would use her dark magic to cause chaos in both Jewel Land and the human world, with seemingly no way to stop her, the witches of Jewel Land discover her hatred of bananas and their scent. They cast a spell on her so that whenever she uses her dark magic, she would smell the scent of bananas, preventing her from using it.
An unknown amount of time later, she is then turned into her Jewel Charm form as punishment and ends up in the human world. A man comes across the charm while looking for a lost kitten he took in, Diana then tricks the man into believing that she is the same kitten and she was trapped in the charm and that he needs to transform her back. Later after encountering a girl that can transform Jewel Charms back into Jewelpets, the man and his group follow her to figure out how to transform her.
After Diana is returned to normal, she then has the Phantom Herb Thieves work under her, allowing them to live near her castle in exchange for helping her find Jewel Charms as well as giving her sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored kamaboko. Diana would use her dark magic on various people, to extract Jewel Charms from them, using her Black Jewel Notebook as a guide for what magic would draw out which charms, and grow her magic power.

A Spell used by Diana in Jewelpet to use her dark magic. Upon using the incantation, Diana's eyes shine with yellow glints, the target is then surrounded by a dark purple aura and a paw print appears on them. The power can be used on both people as well as objects and buildings. The spell can have different effects depending on what Diana uses it on and for what purpose, usually with an opposite effect from a Jewel Power to help summon a Jewel Charm from the target, such as giving someone poor health to draw out the Jewelpet of Health or making a business lose its customers to summon the Jewelpet of Business. |
