In 1990, Sanrio debuted a design collection of multiple bear characters dressed up in pastel-colored outfits, resembling fairies or wizards. The characters are often referred to as the Fairy Bears, though the official name of the design collection currently remains unknown. Stationary, apparel, and ceramic items are known to have been produced.

The brown bear characters each wear pointed hats and gowns, and are seen playing with stars and moons in the lavender sky. The main character is the bear in the pink outfit.
