—Frido sings about how great she is in "Sing Out Loud." Note: The word "me" is said nine times and Frido sings loudly.

Frido is a cat character from Hello Kitty Super Style! and is Hello Kitty's doppelgänger rival. As the opposite of Sanrio's mascot, she is narcissistic and may spew nonsense, but she has a soft spot for her best friend, Zonty, and even Hello Kitty herself at times, similar to Kuromi's rivalry with My Melody. She loves to be the center of attention and shine. Frido often uses Zonty's inventions to plan against Kitty, but nothing works out in her favor.

So far, as Frido is a relatively new character, Hello Kitty Super Style! is her only appearance.

Appearance

Frido is an indigo-colored cat with slight resemblance to Hello Kitty. She has pink inside her ears, and some turquoise whiskers and eyelashes, and wears a pink sleeveless dress with a white kerchief around her neck and a turquoise flower near her left ear. Her hands in the show have pink paw pads.

As with Hello Kitty in Hello Kitty Stump Village and most other animations, Frido has a visible mouth, although she rarely loses it.

Trivia

• Frido is likely inspired by Kuromi and Lloromannic, the rivals of My Melody and Cinnamoroll, respectively.
• As Frido made her first appearance in 2022, her debut is decades late compared to Hello Kitty's, who herself is one of Sanrio's oldest known characters and debuted as far back in 1974. nearly 50 years prior.
• Although Frido can be narcissistic or competitive towards Hello Kitty, she is not technically considered an antagonist in Hello Kitty Super Style!, but rather neutral, similar to Zonty.
• Frido shares the same voice actress as RioSkyPeace, Lindsay Sheppard.
