Happy Chows is a character that debuted sometime in the late 1980s, possibly 1987. The character was created and designed by Sanrio for Cosmo Securities (コスモ証券) to use as a promotional mascot. They were used until around 1993, when Cosmo Securities came under the umbrella of The Daiwa Bank.
Happy Chows is a light brown dog (specifically of the Chow Chow breed) with a darker brown muzzle and ears, wearing a bowtie.
