Hayseed Jake (ヘイシードジェイク) is a Sanrio character who debuted in 1984.
Hayseed Jake is a chubby anthropomorphic boy black cat with white paws, eyebrows, inner ears, and a yellow nose. He is usually illustrated wearing a colorful shirt and scarf. According to his merchandise, he wants to lose weight, but loves ice cream. A mouse character is sometimes seen with him, encouraging him to stop eating ice cream and other treats.
