Itaro is a male squid character created by Hisato Inoue and belonging to the Hangyodon Universe. He likes inventing gadgets (although it seems nothing he makes is ever usable) and enjoys Japanese comedy. He tends to have a discreet personality and is as hard-headed as a computer and because of that he has a high memory capacity which allows him to remember the exact time he was born on January 2nd at 3:45:06 AM.
In Hangyodon-centric anime films, he helps out Hangyodon and his friends with various gadgets and is the inventor of the Time Closet, a time machine that is featured in the Hangyodon no Parallel Daisakusen series.
