Lucky and Luppy

Lucky and Luppy (also known as Lucky & Luppy) are sea otter characters designed by Sanrio that were created in collaboration with Nippon Kangyo Kakumaru Securities (later known as Kankaku Securities) in 1985. Many promotional goods of the characters were produced. They also starred in the software Kangyo Sumimaru no Famicom Trade (勧業角丸のファミコントレード) for the Nintendo Family Computer Network System.

Lucky is the boy sea otter, wearing a blue shirt. Luppy is the girl sea otter, wearing a pink shirt and a bow. Two older sea otters, presumably their parents, also exist. Lucky and Luppy are said to be best friends.

Nippon Kangyo Kakumaru Securities changed its name to Kankaku Securities (勧角証券) in 1990. In 2000, Kankaku Securities became Mizuho Investors Securities. The characters were likely retired sometime during this last change, as Mewnyan, another Sanrio-designed character, became Mizuho Investors Securities's mascot.
