The Melody Takt (メロディタクト, Merodi Takuto) is an item from the My Melody universe that was introduced in Onegai My Melody. It is a powerful item with the ability to turn anything into an ally, inanimate or living and becomes an important part of the story throughout most of the anime.
The Takt was given to My Melody by King Zou before being sent to the Human World to stop Kuromi's nightmare magic. It can uniquely only be used by My Melody, with anyone else who tries to wield it being zapped by it's magic. The Melody Takt is powered by the song of a human companion, unlike the Melody Key which requires a separate item to power it.
In Onegai My Melody ~Kuru Kuru Shuffle~ the Melody Takt would be replaced by a new Melody Takt with an identical appearance to the original.

Powers and Abilities[]
Melody Mark[]
The main power of the Melody Takt is it's ability to create Melody Marks when the user spins the Takt around and chants "Melody Takt". Melody Marks are sticker-like projectiles that are fired from the tip of the takt, they then stick to an object or person, coming alive or powering up and becoming an ally for My Melody. These allies can then be used to fight against the effects of nightmare magic and can remove it's effects entirely if successful. The Melody Mark's power can be enhanced through My Melody's "Onegai?"/"Please?" ability and is used as a last resort when against stronger nightmare magic.
