Mimicmike (ミミックマイク, Mimikkumaiku) is a male dog character from the Japanese company Sanrio, specifically a Bull Terrier.
The word "Mimic" in his nickname (his real name is apparently a secret) means "to imitate". He doesn't think of himself as a dog, and enjoys imitating humans. His hobbies are watching TV and reading magazines. He is very curious and is always looking for new things and things he can work hard at, as well as keeping up with the latest trends. He currently lives alone in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, USA, and sometimes goes for walks in the park near his home. He moved there from London, England, where he was born. His birthday is the same as Hemingway's (American novelist). According to information from Strawberry News, he's the youngest of three boys, and is currently on leave from from the American Dog Academy. One of the reasons why he's so curious about a lot of things is because he wants to find out what he really wants to do someday.
He became a licensed mascot character for The Mie Bank (株式会社三重銀行) sometime shortly after his debut, and served as such until the bank was aquired and absorbed by The Daisan Bank (英文社名) in 2021. Mie Bank produced a lot of Mimicmike mercandise for promotional campaigns, and also included him on their cash cards and in their TV commercials.
