Mimmy (ミミィ, Mimyī) is a Sanrio character and part of the Hello Kitty universe. She is Hello Kitty's younger identical twin sister and playmate. Mimmy rarely makes standalone appearances and is mostly paired with Kitty, due to being very close with her sister.
Appearance

Mimmy is an anthropomorphic Japanese bobtail cat with white fur, a yellow nose, three whiskers on each of her cheeks and black eyes, identical to her twin sister. For her attire, Mimmy wears a yellow bow on her right ear and a shirt with overalls, with the most common being a yellow shirt with red overalls and white buttons or a white shirt with blue stripes and orange overalls with white buttons. Her clothing is the main distinguishable feature from her sister.
Like Hello Kitty, Mimmy also wears other color variants of her main outfit as well as other outfits across merchandise and media.
Personality
Although a happy friendly girl just like Hello Kitty, Mimmy seems to have a slightly shyer, but more polite and thoughtful personality than her sister does, and they seem to highly enjoy each other's company. Anyone would describe her as shy and very girly. Mimmy's hobbies include sewing and dreaming of marriage.
In The Wonderful Sisters, Mimmy mentions that she and Kitty fight sometimes over silly things.
Family
Mimmy is the twin of Hello Kitty. She also has a mom and a dad. Her grandma and grandpa are also often shown. They live in London in a small house. Mimmy is not only Hello Kitty's sister, but also her best friend (although a schism formed when Kitty bungled the pie recipe and Robert ended up eating a mess when she was trying to help out in Mimmy's attempts to become his friend in "The Wonderful Sisters").

- Mimmy is one of the oldest known Sanrio characters, debuting in 1975 along with Hello Kitty's parents.
- In most of Mimmy's early appearances in the 1970s and 1980s, she often wears green overalls instead of orange.
- Hello Kitty is sometimes more commonly seen wearing Mimmy's own standard clothing around this time.
- Her name is sometimes pronounced as "Mimi", "Mimmi", and even "Hello Mimmy"
- Mimmy's shy personality is especially prominent in OVAs from Sanrio World Masterpiece Cinama to the point that she even becomes timid at times, however, she can become brave or even heroic when prompted.

- Like Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel, Mimmy is mouthless, but some animated series depicted her with a visible mouth.
- It is revealed in "The Wonderful Sisters" episode of Hello Kitty and Friends that Mimmy is skillful at baking while her sister is not so much (despite she is in other media), implying that Mimmy has unique talents Hello Kitty doesn't have.
- Although not as popular as Hello Kitty in comparison, Mimmy has a cult-following among fans, with them wanting to see her appear more often and seeing her as an underrated character.
- As Hello Kitty's trademark red bow is revealed in Hello Kitty and Friends Supercute Adventures to be a special gift from her mother, it is likely Mimmy's own yellow bow is the same case.
