Mint and Cherry (ミント&チェリー) are a duo of characters that debuted in the 1980s. According to Shinkyo Gakki (新響楽器), an official Yamaha music education provider in Japan, the characters were created and designed by Sanrio in collaboration with Yamaha Music Foundation. They appeared in Yamaha Music childrens workbooks, as well as on school supplies, stationary, and other merchandise. They were phased out in the 1990s and replaced by the characters March and Waltz.
Mint and Cherry are humanoid beings with ginger hair, each wearing elf-like clothing, hats, and scarfs. Mint wears green, Cherry wears pink.
