My Hero Academia X Hello Kitty & Friends (Japanese: 僕のヒーローアカデミアXハローキティ＆フレンズ) is a special crossover between the Shōnen anime My Hero Academia and many Sanrio characters such as Hello Kitty.

History

On February 24th, 2020, it was announced that Sanrio and Kohei Horikoshi (author of My Hero Academia) were planning a special crossover between the two franchises. A few examples of products that would come from this crossover were:

T-shirts
A Backpack
Hard enamel pins
Mechanical pens
Notebooks

Characters in the Crossover

In the crossover, A few class 1A students were paired with many Sanrio characters. The list of characters are:

Izuku Midoriya & Pochacco

Katsuki Bakugo & Badtz-Maru
- Badtz-Maru has miniature fireworks, mimicking Kacchan’s explosion quirk.

Shoto Todoroki & Tuxedo Sam
- Tuxedo Sam has a hot coffee & a Popsicle, similar to Shoto’s half-hot, half-cold quirk.
Ochaco Uraraka & My Melody
- My Melody is on a balloon to match Uravity’s Zero Gravity quirk.
Tsuyu Asui & Keroppi
- Keroppi is on Froppy’s tongue, trying to impress her.
Ejiro Kirishima & We Are Dinosaurs
Tenya Iida & Cinnamoroll
- Cinnamoroll is on a skateboard, to match Iida’s engine quirk
Shota Aizawa & Chococat
- Chococat has a scarf, the signature clothing item of Shota Aizawa.
Toshinori Yagi & Hello Kitty - The characters were also trying to match the quirks of the heroes
Pochacco, Tiran & Hello Kitty are in an action pose, similar to Deku’s, Kirishima’s, And All Might’s.
