Paupipo (パウピポ, Paupipo) is a male giraffe character from Sanrio. He is the prince of the planet Kirin. The ossicones on his head have mysterious powers, and they shine when he uses them. The ball he always carries is a vehicle that can fly him anywhere he wants to go, even into dreamland. In the language of stars and planets, "pau pipo" is a phrase that means "a small happiness."

- Paupipo's name was given to him by an unknown female Junior High School Art Club member who wrote to the Strawberry News about a story starring him.
- The name of his planet, Kirin, means giraffe, although the characters with which it is written indicate that Kirin is the proper name and not simply a description.
