They've also been featured characters in a short miniseries, called Hello Kitty Pon Pon Town: The Magic Restaurant (ハローキティポンポンタウンーマジックレストラン) and in the Pon Pon Jump Movie; The Secret of the Mysterious Key (ハローキティとピンキー&リオの ふしぎなカギのひみつ) which was originally released as the animated segments in the show, along with Hello Kitty Super Style! under their shorthand names Pinky and Rio, respectively.

Pinky is a light pink dog with pink fur on her head, sporting a rosy, deep pink dress and large pink bow earrings. She's sweet and fashionable, but she can be mischievous, even if it was unintentional. Despite being wealthy, she dreams of being a big actress someday.

Rio is a light blue bear with big red glasses and two small chocolate chip cookies as cheeks. He wears blue jeans, red shoes, and a red jacket over a striped shirt. He's a little shy and nerdy, but it's said that he's very handsome when he removes his glasses.
