Puss in Boots is a cat character from the Japanese company, Sanrio. Debuting in the 1970s (possibly 1975), the character's design is inspired by the Italian fairy-tale Puss in Boots. The character appeared in the Strawberry News, and various goods such as apparel and stationary products were produced.

Puss in Boots is a cat with yellow-orange fur, a red nose, 3 whiskers on each cheek and small black eyes. Puss in Boots' attire consists of big red boots.
