Once upon a meow in the forest of Knotty-Pine, Sheriff Grinder tries to steal everybody's bubblegum… until Lady Kitty and her merry friend Robin Penguin team up to foil his sugarcoated plans!

Plot[]

Before the play, Tuxedo Sam needs help of practicing to ride a horse. Chip's solution; using a rocking horse, much to Sam's embarrassment as Hello Kitty calls out for everyone to get into their places for it's curtain time.

Once upon a meow, in the forest of Knotty-Pine, there resided an evil sheriff, a wicked princess, and a noble hero, Robin Penguin. Sheriff Grinder and his men head to Maid Kitty's house, with the sheriff hoping that the maid has come to her senses by now. He tells her if she had come to senses and marry her, but the maid denies and tells him to go away. The sheriff threatens her of locking her up in a dungeon at Castle Knotty-Pine to changer her mind, as he blows bubblegum and ends up popping in his face. He orders his men to storm the house as they charge through the door and into the house. The sheriff attempts to bribe the maid with bubblegum, but she denies because that gum was stolen from the poor people, leaving them with none. In retaliation, the sheriff's men take Maid Kitty away to jail.

Somewhere in the forest, Robin Penguin was checking on his merry men who were prepping up for the pillow fight to battle against Sheriff Grinder. Just then, Little Chip arrives with bad news; Sheriff Grinder and his guards have taken Maid Kitty and locked her up in the dungeon at Knotty-Pine Castle until she agrees to marry him. Robin is fumed of what happened as he plans to do something to break her out.

At Knotty-Pine Castle, Sheriff Grinder informs Princess Catnip that the next shipment of bubblegum is on its way, whilst the peasants grumble about not having any gum. The princess states that bubblegum is only for royalty, like herself. At the castle's dungeon, Maid Kitty is locked up with Fangora on guard. Robin Penguin comes in disguised with lunch for the maid, which she doesn't want but is forced too. He drops a piece of bubblegum on the floor to lure the guard inside the cell, and locks her up and they both make a run for it. The guards, the princess and the sheriff are alerted about Robin's infiltration and the maid's escape, along with the theft of the stolen gum, and all come outside the castle. As the guards close in, Robin ties a rope on two ends to create a tightrope so they can go across to leave the castle. The sheriff tries to thwart his plan by untying the rope, but that plan fails as the two swing into a horse and escape the castle. The princess scolds the dumb sheriff about letting them escape, demanding him to retrieve the gum and capture Robin Penguin, once and for all.

The next day, Maid Kitty tells everyone of how she overheard guards talking about a big shipment of bubblegum coming in. Robin tells them that the carriage will be filled with lots of gum, thinking of how many pieces of gum they can give back to the townspeople. As the carriage makes its way to the castle, it is stopped by Friar Grandpa standing on a fallen tree log. They attempt to convince the carrier to unload the carriage, however it turns out to be an ambush by Sheriff Grinder! Everyone fends off the guards with pillows and even hide from them, but the same couldn't be said for Little Chip. At last, Maid Kitty is back home safe. The maid realizes that Little Chip is not here. Robin thinks that he may have been with the friar, but he hadn't seen him either. Robin finally comes to realize that he was captured by the sheriff!

At the castle's dungeon, poor Chip is tortured by Fangora taunting him with a piece of gum. Sheriff Grinder comes in telling her to let him go, as he whispers to her why, leaving Chip curious.

Back at the forest hideout, a dismayed My Melody feels just awful about Little Chip's capture. Robin tells them that they need to come up with a plan, but the friar doesn't know how to. Just then, Little Chip comes alongside, surprising them that he's here. He tells them of what had happened, then tells them that he overheard about Maid Kitty surrendering to Sheriff Grinder, and agreed to be his wife to let him go, shocking everyone.

The next day, Sheriff Grinder tells Princess Catnip of how they're getting closer to capturing Robin Penguin, until they are informed of a message from him reading:

  • "I hereby challenge Sheriff Grinder to a joust for the freedom of fair Maid Kitty. If I win, the sheriff will never bother again."

At the joust, Robin Penguin and Sheriff Grinder prepare to ride on steeds and take each other out with pillows. The sheriff manages to penetrate through Robin's pillow, and he quickly orders Chip to get him a new one, but the sheriff comes from nowhere and knocks him off. They decide to give him a taste of his own medicine by using a ripped pillow and knocking him off this time. The joust is a draw and the princess decides to take it on water, giving Robin a bigger challenge to come across. The two are standing on opposite sides of a log above a pool of water with hoses to knock each other off as they are being pumped up. Robin aims first, but the sheriff begins to aim too, as three walking trees loom into the arena. Just when the sheriff thought he had him, he cluelessly steps on the hose that prevents the water from going through. He calls a time out to figure out what is happening, until he takes his foot off the hose and knocks himself out into the pool. Princess Catnip has had enough and sends the guards to take them both. Maid Kitty questions her about her unfairness, but the princess tells her that she lied; villains are allowed to and supposed to lie. Before the guards could capture the two, Little Chip, My Melody and Friar Grandpa emerge from their tree disguises and use the bubblegum to fly in the air. Robin demands them to release the maid as the guards see his merry men and the latter splatter them in pink, sticky bubblegum. Princess Catnip finally gives in and hands over everyone their bubblegum. Robin Penguin, Maid Kitty, the merry men and the townspeople cheer as their bubblegum is handed back to them. The story ends.
