Sugarbear (シュガーベアー) is a bear Sanrio character who debuted in the 1980s, likely 1985. They have a shy but friendly personality. They love sharing their sugar sack treasures with their friends. The copyright of the Japanese toy corporation, Sekiguchi, can also be found on some of the boxes and tags of Sugarbear's goods. The character may have been designed by Sanrio for Sekiguchi.
