Takuwanwan is a Sanrio character who is Kirimichan's pet. They are a takuan, a pickled daikon radish, and likely part dog or pretending to be a dog.
Kirimichan takes them for walks on a leash, but Takuwanwan does not like going if the weather is too hot or rainy. Takuwanwan always sleeps with Kirimichan.

Kirimichan rescued Takuwanwan from a facility. At first Takuwanwan was very shy but little by little they built trust and a strong attachment. You can find a short manga depicting how the two met here.
Takuwanwan was first introduced on April 24, 2019 through Kirimichan's Official Twitter.[1] They are one of the newest characters in the Kirimichan Universe and make regular appearances via Twitter.

- During quarantine in 2020 Takuwanwan was happy to spend more time with Kirimichan.[2] Takuwanwan also gained weight.[3]
- Takuwanwan tied for 25th place with Tiramisu in the 2020 Sub Character Contest.
