The Perfect Gift is an episode of the internet series Hello Kitty and Friends Supercute Adventures
Summary[]
Hello Kitty goes to Small Gifts Big Smile (My Melody's shop) to secretly buy a present for My Melody, who she's only calling her "a friend" to keep it secret. As Kitty is debating on what she should buy, more customers arrive in the store and are having to wait a long time for Kitty to pick what she wants to buy.
Plot[]
My Melody is organizing her front counter, and as she does that, Hello Kitty walks into the store. Kitty then tells My Melody that she needs to buy a gift for My Melody herself, who she's only calling her "a friend" to keep it secret. My Melody then suggests winter ornaments, to which Kitty responds saying she doesn't know if "her friend" likes bear ornaments.
So then Kitty asks My Melody if she likes bears to get secret confirmation, to which My Melody exclaims she does, which makes Kitty excited until My Melody states she has a whole set of the ornaments at home. As this is happening, Kuromi then walks into the store, saying she needs something cute to hang over her mirror, but embarrassed, she says no questions, to which My Melody tells her to wait. Kitty and My Melody then walk by a giant ceramic apple, to which Kitty asks My Melody if she likes them, to which My Melody exclaims that she does.
Meanwhile, Keroppi walks into the store asking for some boomerangs, to which My Melody tells him to wait. My Melody then goes back to Kitty saying the giant apples are good for big living rooms, and Kitty responds by sadly saying "her friend" only has a small living room; My Melody then suggests that Kitty's "friend" might have a big basement, and she responds with saying she has a huge one. Kitty gets excited by this statement, only for My Melody to then say it's full of crafting stuff.
Badtz-Maru then walks in asking for red decals, to which My Melody again tells him to wait. My Melody then suggests to Kitty that "her friend" might like fun jewelry like bracelets, and then Kitty starts looking through the bracelets. My Melody looks back at the long line in the store, to see that her customers are becoming angrier and impatient. Kitty starts to ask My Melody what color she likes and My Melody exclaims pink before Kitty can finish her sentence, but says they don't make pink.
Kitty then sparks an idea, so she decides on the green bracelet. After Kitty buys the bracelet, My Melody hurriedly gets all of her customers their desired items. She gives a bear ornament to Kuromi, a guitar decal to Badtz, and a boomerang to Keroppi, to which they all cheer, and Kitty looks back at them happily.
The scene changes to night, where Kitty arrives at My Melody's house with a present. She then gives the present to My Melody, opening it to see it's the green bracelet Kitty had bought, but now painted pink. My Melody gets happy, but then tells Kitty she has nothing to give her in return and Kitty states she doesn't need to, explaining My Melody's gift to her was getting her café ready for the grand opening, and that she was so kind to her and everybody in the store. They then hug, but as they do that, My Melody's door slams shut, causing her chimes to jingle, thus her partially sleepy self then welcomes Kitty as if she had entered her store. The screen then closes out, and right after, My Melody says to Kitty that she may be locked out.
