Tommy is a girl angel character from the Japanese company Sanrio. She is one of the Seven Strawberry Angels who live in Strawberry Kingdom. She helps The Strawberry King bring peace to the kingdom. Tommy wears a huge strawberry as a hat, a long-sleeve white gown, and bare feet. Her long, black braided pigtails are tied with red bows.
Tommy is a tomboy angel who is usually seen running around the Strawberry Kingdom.

Tommy's appearance includes braided pigtails tied with bows, and her eyes have one long eyelash each. These characteristics are typically associated with female Sanrio characters; meanwhile, her name is traditionally a male name, and the pronouns referring to her on official websites are he/him.
Despite this, other Sanrio sources, such as the Strawberry News, refer to Tommy as female, including an official profile card released with the other Strawberry Angels. While Tommy's name is masculine, it could refer to her tomboyish nature, much like how the other Strawberry Angels have names describing their personalities (Crybaby tends to cry a lot, Socrates is smart and is named after a famous philosopher of the same name, etc.)
Therefore, while Tommy's gender can be easily mistaken for male, she is indeed female.
