Toppy & Kuppy (トッピーとクッピー) are Sanrio characters designed by Shinichi Emura (江村信一). They were created as image characters for Osaka Yomiuri Television between 1980-1983, which lasted for about ten years, and in collaboration with Takara for toy licensing.
Toppy is a anthropomorphic boy white dog character with black ears and whiskers, often depicted wearing a blue vest and a red bowtie. Kuppy is his sister, similar in design but with a necklace, long white ears, and a red ribbon on her head. She's sometimes depicted wearing a red vest.
They live in Blue Sky Town (Aozora Town) together with their parents. Their mom has a nice personality and is a great cook. Their loving father brings along Toppy on outings.
