Uta Yumeno (夢野　歌, Yumeno Uta) is the human protagonist of the TV anime, Onegai My Melody, and is the human companion of My Melody. She is a second-year middle student living in Yumegaoka City, She is a lively and cheery girl and is part of the music club. She admires Keiichi Hiiragi.

She is a girl with brown pigtail hair. She usually wears a yellow high school uniform with an orange skirt like with her female classmates.
